Le grand patron de Walt Disney, Bob Iger, le déclarait l’autre jour : « Hitler aurait adoré les réseaux sociaux. » L’époque en général ne lui aurait pas déplu. Il se serait senti comme chez lui dans notre totalitarisme soft (de moins en moins soft). Et si on quittait une seconde nos smartphones pour ouvrir nos yeux grands fermés ?

Le long d’un travelling de huit minutes, on traverse les différents mondes de notre temps – art contemporain, GAFA, sport, religions, pornographie, politique, finance ; vaches sacrées, veaux d’or, surveillance généralisée, opiums du peuple. Tout y passe. C’est Jérôme Bosch téléporté dans l’ère post Warhol. Si l’aliénation moderne est pointée du doigt, il n’y a pas de jugement moral, mais un détachement clinique à la Kubrick – les faits, rien que les faits. Si l’enrobage est pop, le fond est sombre, et la bande-son n’est pas moins anxiogène.

Le film est sélectionné dans de nombreux festivals (Zagreb, Séoul, Athènes, Stuttgart,…) et déjà primé à Annecy, Manchester, Houston, …)

Walt Disney’s big boss, Bob Iger, said it the other day: “Hitler would have loved social networks”. The time in general would not have displeased him. He would have felt at home in our soft totalitarianism (less and less soft). Why don’t we leave our smartphones for a second and open our eyes wide closed?

Along an eight-minute travelling tour, we cross the different worlds of our time – contemporary art, GAFA, sport, religion, pornography, politics, finance; sacred cows, golden calves, generalized surveillance, people’s opiums. Everything goes through it. This is Jerome Bosch beamed into the post-Warhol era. If modern alienation is pointed out, there is no moral judgment, but a clinical detachment like Kubrick – the facts, nothing but the facts. If the coating is pop, the background is dark, and the soundtrack is no less anxious.
